Compatible with Touchstone® and Touchstone Re™, the SSEs were selected based on Melissa’s key meteorological parameters. They should only be used with exposures in Jamaica.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 30 miles from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 195 miles. An industry loss estimate, custom event sets for Touchstone and Touchstone Re, and industry loss-based similar stochastic events will be produced for this event and will be available by early next week; we will follow up with specific details on timing later this week.
